The Villas at Punta Gabriela
As you’ve read, Punta Gabriela is a private resort home with a main house and 6 villas. 5 of the villas are detached from the main house while Villa 4 (the Penthouse) is situated on the third floor of the main house.
The lower level of the house is where you will find the kitchen, dining room, common area, Toucan Chuey’s (our indoor/outdoor bar) and access to the main pool area. The second level of the house is the owner’s private residence and is not available for rent, except on special occasions. (Please call for rates.)
Each of the villas, including the Penthouse, sleeps two people very comfortably. If your traveling party is two or four people, you may be sharing the resort with others. A group of four couples or two families of four can book the entire resort for themselves by taking all four villas. Families with children under 10 can have their children stay in the same villa for a nominal fee.
During the holidays (Christmas Week, New Year’s Week, Easter) we only accept 7 night, whole property reservations. For 2013 we are accepting whole house Christmas bookings through the morning of 12/26. New Year’s Eve week is already reserved. Please contact us to reserve the property for either of these dates.
Whole property bookings made outside of Christmas, New Year’s and Easter will receive a
20% discount off the individual villa nightly rates.
Getting to Punta Gabriela
When making your travel plans to stay with us at Punta Gabriela, you will find lots of flights to Costa Rica, but more than likely you will choose to fly into the Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose (SJO). This airport is served by a variety of major airlines, many which offer non-stop service.
Upon arrival at SJO, you have a few options to get to Punta Gabriela.
Take our 11 person air-conditioned van. $350 per party one way
Take our private helicopter. Two passengers + luggage or three passengers with light luggage. $900 one way
Take Sansa Air (Costa Rica’s commuter airline) from SJO to Quepos (XQP). Flights should cost about $85 per person, one way. Our van will meet you at the airport and bring you to Punta Gabriela ($50)
Car Rental – There are several options, but you will get the best rates by calling Jesse at
(954) 931-0940. The drive takes approximately 3 hours.
Overall, you should find many options for flights to Costa Rica on your own, or with the assistance of a travel agent.

Our pool area can only be described as pure luxury! Surrounded by the jungle on three sides with sweeping views of the ocean below, it is the perfect place for a romantic midnight swim, a social spot for cocktails and a spectacular sunset or an afternoon of family frolicking. You’ll see that it is the central gathering point for visitors at Punta Gabriela. Regardless of how you use it, we’re sure you’ll enjoy this one-of-a-kind setting.

Commercial Grade Kitchen
Impress your guests or cook together with your friends and family in our restaurant-style kitchen! Fully equipped with everything you need from griddle, stove, fryer, oven to a spacious fridge to store all your groceries. Private chef is available upon request!
Helipad
We are the only private resort in Costa Rica with our own rooftop helipad. Use the helicopter for your arrival to and departure from the resort and surrounding area. Please feel free to inquire about the helicopter usage fees as they are not included in your room rate.
PG Bar
Our open-concept bar is on the main level of the house. Featuring a bar fridge, ice machine, glassware, and is equipped with all essential bartending tools for making drinks! It is BYOB, and a bartender is available upon request.
